Our church is now fifty years old.  We are American Baptist and we are affiliated with the Evergreen Association.

The Evergreen Association of American Baptist Churches is the 35th and newest Region of the American Baptist Churches in the USA. Evergreen churches are found in Alaska, California, Idaho, Utah, and Washington.

Our church and the First Baptist Church in Salt Lake City are the only two American Baptist churches in Utah to become members of the Evergreen Region. 

The decision was made to become members of Evergreen because there was more free agency and we take church autonomy very seriously.

Although we are affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA, our members are from many backgrounds.  Probably less than one-half are American Baptist by background. 

We have filled the pulpit with the best pastor available whether they were Baptist, United Church of Christ, Presbyterian, etc.  We have been fortunate to have had some exceptional pastors serving us.

We are a middle-of-the road, non-judgmental congregation.  The attendance at a morning worship service is  normally less than fifty persons.

We practice open communion on the first Sunday of each month.

We open our doors to all who will enter and worship.
