    Velvet Scherer died on Monday, November 6th, following emergency surgery and subsequent sepsis. Reverend Proctor first met Velvet in 1972 and she has been the church secretary for about 10 years and did a wonderful job. Her parents were faithful friends and members until their death. Velvet sang in the church choir for many years and was very active with Job's Daughters.    The funeral service for Velvet will be held on Saturday, November 11th at 4th North and 2nd East in Malad, Idaho. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. and funeral service at 11:00 a.m.

   Every Tuesday, 9:30 a.m.: Men's coffee at Starbucks on 5th South.
   Every Tuesday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.: Home school music group
   Every Wednesday, 8 p.m.: AA meeting
   Every Thursday, 9:30-11:30 a.m.: Explorer's Bible Study (Letter to the Romans)

   Explorer's Bible study meets at the church every Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nursery care is provided. Mary Cates is the teaching leader. Women of all faiths are invited to attend. The study for this year is Paul's letter to the Romans.
